Ableton live m16/3/2023 ![]() Generally, the preferred format of plug-ins in Ableton Live is VST3 and AUs is the only way to run intel-only plug-ins inside Live. Please list what plug-ins and format you use when you have issues. Your machine isn't strong enough to run anything in large amounts, but as I've stated elsewhere I had more than a 50% increase in performance going to native with all native plug-ins. Are these recordable locally, or only heard in the stream? It was actually WORSE when I had it running natively, as well as not being able to use a bunch of plugs STILL.Define glitches. LIVE 10 almost ran better with less glitches while broadcasting- but I just don't want to downgrade.Īnyone else having these issues? I thought it would be taken care of with the 11.1 update.naïve, I know. ![]() I'm so frustrated with this 11.1 behavior. REASON acts so bizarre, barely works- it at all, as well as a few others.Īlso loving using DrumComputer (Sugarbytes) now running native, and its just wonderful in LIVE. It was actually WORSE when I had it running natively, as well as not being able to use a bunch of plugs STILL. Running at 128 buffer now in Rosetta to run some older plugs, but LIVE without broadcasting still gives me glitches. Here it is during a recent synthfest performance (don't mind the horns, I forgot to trim them, heh) starting at 1h 16' (its just briefly there, but that can almost ruin the track for a live album): What are your experiences, what is your set up and do you have any issues?īeen broadcasting using OBS, and almost always I get audio glitches from Live, sometimes pretty bad. **EDIT** Latest pack now runs natively and has been moved to "Audio effects" **** The Ableton Convolution Reverb won't run in Live 11 native for some reason. **EDIT** Magnetic 1.3 now runs natively too **** The counterparts made in Max For Live, for the latter being Magnetic, doesn't run, but Diffuse does. **EDIT** Diffuse now and Modnetic 1.3.0 runs natively too **** So far Surreal Machines plug-ins Diffuse and Modnetic have issues and won't run at all, not under Rosetta 2 in either Live version. Will try it later in Live 11 under Rosetta 2. In Live 11 I can't use Fxpansions Tremor and control it, but it's quite fantastic I can run it fine under Rosetta 2 in Live 10. If there's a later universal lite build I might consider a few of the instruments. Reason Lite 11 under Rosetta 2, that I mainly use for exporting Reason compact ideas to MIDI.Garageband, is installed in universal form, but haven't made much yet with this either.Reaper, is installed in universal form, but I haven't used it much yet.I haven't checked with using Intel AU's yet. Performance is great and using only native plug-ins might be 50+% better. A couple have lost their controls or have other issues, but also these do play what was set under Rosetta (Knock on wood). Live 11 native with newer plug-ins that are universal as VSTs (mostly VST3) and older plug-ins running as AU.Performance is totally acceptable and I can run many sets on 32 samples audio buffer. I keep this for older projects that I think is too much work to migrate to Live 11 native. Live 10 running under Rosetta2 with many of my older plug-ins as VSTs, except a handful that won't run or have issues. My current studio set up is with Live Standard plus Max For Live: I thought it would be useful to address issues with running Live 11 on Apple Silicon in its own thread, now when AS native builds are in beta and an 11.1.
